AgFirst is seeking a skilled commercial or middle market relationship manager with experience in multi-lender transactions.  This professional will be a senior member of the capital markets team and will be responsible for managing and growing an assigned portfolio.  The candidate will work with Associations (independent entities within the AgFirst cooperative) and other Farm Credit System partners, and commercial banks. 
 
This is an exciting role for an experienced Sr. Relationship Manager - Capital Markets who enjoys originating business and collaborates effectively with internal and external partners. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Actively work with AgFirst’s member Associations and external partners (other commercial banks) to originate, service and manage middle market and corporate loans.
  • Work with the credit department to assist with the loan underwriting.
  • Mentor to other team members
  • Assist the Head of Capital Markets and management with special projects or other duties, as requested
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4-year college degree with emphasis in finance/business/accounting or agriculture. Completion of a master’s degree in finance (MBA), preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial lending experience with middle market companies, with experience with multi-lender transactions.Strong origination, structuring and credit underwriting experience.
  • Extensive experience originating and structuring loans for middle market companies and large corporate clients.
  • Understands GAAP accounting and cash flow analysis.
  • Knowledge about the loan syndications market.
  • Understands trends impacting the business.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively work across an organization with various stake holders (e.g. District and System entities, credit, legal, and compliance among others).
  • Capable of working independently and with little supervision.
  • Effective group presentation, leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to travel.
