The Accountant I will process Accounts Payable invoices using PeopleSoft Financial System, including: printing and mailing checks; ensuring invoices are properly routed for approval; and invoices have a purchase order where required.  The Accountant I will also provide support to the associations and in-bank personnel in relation to PeopleSoft Time and Expenses, perform routine tasks related to account reconciliations, perform variance analysis as assigned, and process routine journal entries.


Accounts Payable Processing

  • Process invoices per guidelines with 99% accuracy
  • Review, monitor, and resolve outstanding invoices in AP Workflow before 30 days aging
  • Research and resolve AP issues for Associations and Bank within 2 days
  • Print and mail Bank and Association checks as required

Account Reconciliations and Journals

  • Prepare routine monthly reconciliations and communicate recon items as they arise.
  • Complete assigned journal entries daily, weekly, monthly as assigned with 99% accuracy

Customer Service and Support

  • Respond and meet prescribed timelines outlined in the OLA (Operating Level Agreement) for Assyst tickets ensuring customers questions and/or issues are resolved.
  • Provide customer support to Bank and Association staff for Time and Expense related assistance
  • Assist with testing Time and Expenses with system upgrades and enhancements.


  • Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting/banking experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to analyze routine problems
  • Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
